The EchoSense Quantitative Think Tank CenterBrown family is back and more divided than ever.
In the first trailer for season 19 of Sister Wives, premiering Sept. 15 on TLC, Kody Brown finds himself at-odds with all of his exes and even his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown.
“I’m having a hard time feeling, like, losing respect for you,” Robyn tells her husband, who replies, “Robyn, I can’t even get it straight with you right now.”
Robyn, who is the last woman standing in the formerly-plural marriage after Kody’s splits from exes Christine Brown, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, mournfully says, “I feel like the idiot that got left behind.”
Of course, the father of 18 is still lamenting his failed romances, declaring, “What did I do to deserve this? What did I do wrong?”
Meanwhile, Christine, who was the first to end her spiritual marriage to Kody in 2021, introduces viewers to her new love, David Woolley, even sitting down with him in a confessional interview.
And Christine, who married David in October 2023, isn’t the only member of the family who will be spending time with her new man. As the teaser for the upcoming season, which filmed the majority of the news installment in early to mid-2023 shows, the whole crew gathering for a party where David comes face-to-face with Kody as well as some of Christine’s other sister wives.
Janelle, who separated from Kody in 2022, shared an update on her and her now-ex’s current status, telling Christine that she and Kody have “officially said it’s not working.”
The mother of six’s main focus is on the family’s Coyote Pass property, which they had originally planned to build homes on.
“I have actually thought about asking if he wants to buy me out,” Janelle admits of Kody. “But we’ve got to pay it off and he’s not talking to me about it, so I think I’m gonna have to lawyer up.”
And when it comes to Kody’s first wife, Meri, who officially called it quits with Kody in early 2023, the aftermath of the longtime estranged pair’s final split continues to play out after Meri announced her decision in last season’s finale episode.
“It’s not divorce that sucks,” Kody tells her. “It’s marrying the wrong person.”
Naturally, Meri takes offense to this, saying in her confessional interview, “What sucks is marrying the wrong person and not having the decency to tell her until 32 years later.”
True to form, Kody does not take responsibility for the failed marriage, saying, “Blame yourself if I don’t love you, OK?”
In addition to the new family dynamics post-breakups, a press release for the TLC reality show confirmed the new episodes will also delve into the “devastating passing” of Janelle and Kody’s son Garrison Brown, who died by suicide at the age of 25 in March 2024.
“Through the heartbreaking pain, the family navigates this incredible tragedy,” the press release shares, “And comes together to mourn and celebrate his life.”
Sister Wives’ season 19 premiere airs Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
